Lamha privacy policy

Lamha is a set of Arabic home-screen widgets for Android, published on Google Play by Elham Arts (“we”). This page explains what the app reads on your phone, what it downloads, and what reaches us.

1. What the app reads on your phone, and never sends

• Steps, distance and active calories: if you allow it, the app reads today’s totals from Health Connect (where apps such as Samsung Health share them) to show them on the Status widget. It also reads them in the background so the widget stays current without opening the app. It only reads and never writes to Health Connect, keeps only today’s totals to draw the widget, never sends them anywhere, and never sells, shares or uses them for advertising. You can withdraw access at any time in Health Connect’s settings.
• Next alarm: its time and the app that set it, so the widget shows your clock app’s alarm and not other apps’ reminders.
• Sound mode and Do Not Disturb.
• Battery: charge level and state, temperature, voltage and charge cycles.
• What you add: countdown dates, tasbih counts, the city you pick and your settings.

This data is kept only inside the app on your phone, is not uploaded to online backups, and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

2. What the app downloads

• Headlines: shared files, the same for every user, from our server data.lamhaapps.com. Headlines appear exactly as their sources publish them; tapping one opens the story on the source’s website, whose own privacy policy then applies.
• Weather and dust: the file for the city you picked, from the same server; the city’s name is part of the file’s address. The app does not ask for location permission and does not know where you are. Weather comes from MET Norway and dust from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service.
• Prayer times are calculated on your phone and need no internet.

No account, name or device identifier is sent with these requests. As with any file on the web, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, handles your phone’s IP address to deliver it; we keep no logs that identify you.

3. When you write to us

If you email support@lamhaapps.com, or use “Report a headline”, which opens a ready email with the headline and its link, we receive your email address and what you wrote. We use them only to reply and fix the problem, share them with no one, and delete them when they are no longer needed.

4. Links to other sites

Some taps open other websites or apps, such as a headline’s source or a Google search for your city’s weather; each has its own privacy policy.

5. Security

The app’s data stays in its protected storage on your phone, which other apps cannot reach, and files are downloaded over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

6. Health Connect

Lamha’s use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Children

Lamha is not directed at children under 13, and the app itself collects no personal data from anyone.

8. Your choices

• Withdraw Health Connect access at any time in its settings.
• Delete all of the app’s data by uninstalling it, or in Settings › Apps › Lamha › Storage › Clear data.
• To have emails you sent us deleted, write to support@lamhaapps.com.
